How to download a bank statement and import it into Moneytale
Moneytale does not read “PDF in general” — every bank and product has its own profile, which also checks the statement against its control totals. Here is, for each supported bank, which file to download, where to find it and what to watch for.

Your bank is not here?
A CSV or XLSX from any bank goes through the general table import: Moneytale asks the AI once what the columns mean and reads the values from the file. An unknown PDF is read by the AI only with your separate consent. Write to podpora@moneytale.app and tell us which bank you miss — they are added by demand.
What happens after the upload
Moneytale reads the payments from the statement and categorizes them by itself. It never signs in to the bank, never sees your password, and the file can only be read. Payments it already has from an earlier statement are recognized and not written twice — overlapping statements are fine. When categorizing card payments the AI sees only the cleaned merchant name, never amounts, IBANs or names — and only if you agreed to it.
