Tatra banka statements in Moneytale
Tatra banka is the second bank Moneytale is tuned on — measured on real accounts. It reads three different outputs: the monthly PDF statement, the accounting XML statement (camt.053) and the filter export as CSV, XLS or OFX. The XML carries the most — merchant, payment type and MCC code.
What Moneytale reads from Tatra banka
-
Monthly current-account statement · PDF
Internet banking TB (moja.tatrabanka.sk) or the app → account → Výpisy.
-
Accounting statement · camt.053 XML (zipped)
Internet banking TB → Výpisy do účtovníctva → period. Unzip and upload the .xml itself.
-
Filter export · CSV, XLS, OFX
Internet banking TB → account movements → set the period → Export.
Steps
- In Internet banking TB open the account and download the monthly statement as PDF — or generate the accounting XML for a chosen period.
- The XML arrives zipped: unzip it and upload the .xml file.
- For one specific period, filter the movements and export CSV or OFX.
- In Moneytale click Upload a statement and pick the file.
What to watch for
- The CSV and XLS from the filter carry no account number, so the payments land on a “Tatra banka” account Moneytale creates. OFX and XML know the account by its IBAN. Upload both and Moneytale pairs them without doubling anything.
- The Tatra banka credit-card statement has no profile of its own yet. It can still be uploaded — the AI reads it, and only with your consent.
What happens after the upload
Moneytale reads the payments from the statement and categorizes them by itself. It never signs in to the bank, never sees your password, and the file can only be read. Payments it already has from an earlier statement are recognized and not written twice — overlapping statements are fine. When categorizing card payments the AI sees only the cleaned merchant name, never amounts, IBANs or names — and only if you agreed to it.

The steps match Tatra banka's banking as of October 2026. If the bank has renamed its menus, look for “Výpisy” (statements) or “Export”.
