Steps
- Sign in to George (web or app) and open Výpisy z účtu for the account.
- Download the monthly statement as PDF. The statement frequency (daily, monthly, yearly) can only be changed in web George under Nastavené výpisy — monthly is best for an overview.
- Upload the credit card as its own PDF statement; the card repayment is not counted twice.
- In Moneytale click Upload a statement and pick the file.
What to watch for
- Moneytale does not yet accept the XML (camt.053) or MT940 statement from George — for Slovenská sporiteľňa use PDF.
- For a CSV/XLSX export keep at least the date, amount and description columns. Moneytale asks the AI once what the columns mean and reads the values from the file.
What happens after the upload
Moneytale reads the payments from the statement and categorizes them by itself. It never signs in to the bank, never sees your password, and the file can only be read. Payments it already has from an earlier statement are recognized and not written twice — overlapping statements are fine. When categorizing card payments the AI sees only the cleaned merchant name, never amounts, IBANs or names — and only if you agreed to it.
