From Fio banka Moneytale reads the monthly PDF statement, the CSV export and Fio XML — verified on real statements. Fio exports in UTF-8, so the diacritics in merchant names survive.

Steps

  1. In Fio Internetbanking open Výpisy (monthly) or Pohyby na účte (any period).
  2. Pick the format: PDF for the monthly statement, CSV or XML for the movements export.
  3. In Moneytale click Upload a statement and pick the file.

What to watch for

  • Moneytale does not yet read OFX, GPC, HTML, JSON, MT940 or camt.053 from Fio — pick PDF, CSV or Fio XML.
  • Fio issues no credit cards, so there is no card statement to deal with; debit-card payments are right in the account statement.

What happens after the upload

Moneytale reads the payments from the statement and categorizes them by itself. It never signs in to the bank, never sees your password, and the file can only be read. Payments it already has from an earlier statement are recognized and not written twice — overlapping statements are fine. When categorizing card payments the AI sees only the cleaned merchant name, never amounts, IBANs or names — and only if you agreed to it.
